The city is full of America’s relics of history alongside some of the best urban green spaces. Washington’s National Parks are world-famous - including Canal National Historical Park and Rock Creek Park.
   
 The DuPont Circle neighbourhood is the historical focal point of queer life in the city. 17th Street NW and the surrounding area is full of queer bars and hosts the Capital Pride Parade. Despite controversial political times, Washington’s support for sexual diversity remains unphased - hosting multiple pride celebrations that openly focus on the lives of transgender, Latinx, black and other minority groups within the queer community.
